Too often we say to the explorer that traveling is for the young, the wild, and perhaps the foolish. It’s often used as a scapegoat of ‘finding ourselves’; a measure for the lost to try and grow up outside their otherwise familiar surroundings.

Screw that. It’s just too limited a view.

Traveling is for those who know themselves, and know their own little piece of the world is much too small to be all there is to know well. Whether it’s an unknown sketchy part of town, a new city or a different continent, could I encourage you, little explorer; your dreams of connecting the world are grand and part of you for the greater good of society. Keep connecting the dots, putting pieces to the puzzle, and understanding the world the way your heart was built to do so.

You travel not because you are lost or even foolish, but because my goodness, you are found.
