Sometimes we’d need a little reminder. Just a gentle little reminder, but a reminder we’d need all the same.

Wait for it little love. Just wait, and hold tight. Hold firm little Yellow Bird ’cause it’s all part of the journey. Too often it’s much too easy to hear the whole world and forget our own little awkward song, but just you wait.

I know there’s a whole wide world to see, and it feels your little wings must be too small and the wind too mighty but I promise, just hold tight and you’ll see it all coming. Find rest little soul and see being little is the only thing you really needed to be in the arms of a creator who is never too big to see. See He cares for the sparrows, the littlest of little created things. He cares for you and your wide brown eyed dreams.

Wait for it little love. One day those furled feathers will find strength in their awkward off beat song and you’ll take flight as though you’d never really known the pain of living quiet on the ground.

Just you wait, just you hold tight. And when that mighty wind comes rushing up don’t you move, little one wouldn’t you hold brave against the wind.

It is in our weaknesses He is greatest and He surely doesn’t miss a single thing. Wait little bird and your turn will come. Wait, and in your weakness grow in His strength. One day you’ll see all your waiting was on purpose, for a purpose. One day you’ll see.

Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. || Romans 8.28
