See you cannot have understood true and righteous justice to which we’re called to love by unless you have the bifocal lenses of both justice and compassion. True justice doesn’t leave room for choosing sides, but rather leaves wide open spaces for you discern what true compassion for all really looks like. Giving justice to the one by inducing an injustice to the other is simply injustice altogether.  Justice doesn’t complete itself until you marry one unto the other.

I’ve had plenty of opportunity for others to view me, my circumstances, or even the ministry issues I’m involved in as sides to take rather than true justice to administer. I couldn’t lie, I’ve found myself doing the same… and it’s incredibly wrong. Justice is meant for all [the thieves, murderers, violent, judgmental, self-seeking, and hardhearted] , not just for a chosen side like the good versus the bad.

This, is not an easy lesson to learn. But by God, it’s been a good one…
